The Four Foundations of Mindfulness for Yoga Teachers
This systematic introduction to the Buddhist underpinnings of mindfulness is for yoga asana teachers who would like to bring mindfulness into their teaching appropriately, with confidence, and with understanding of its original lineage. (This workshop will also benefit any dedicated yoga asana practitioner.) In addition to didactic teaching, guided meditation, and Q&A, each class will include a yoga/mindfulness practice to demonstrate techniques for layering body-based and mindfulness methods. The first session will include an overview of the intersections of yoga and Buddhism.
