san·gha /ˈsäNG(ɡ)ə/ noun 1. Community of meditation practitioners
Our half-hour includes greetings, a short talk, and a 20-minute mindfulness/compassion meditation
Wednesdays 7:15am Fridays at Noon Eastern Time
This ongoing, live, weekly drop-in was designed to make it easier for beginners to learn to meditate and for experienced people to maintain a regular practice in community.
Now, coming together in practice communities has never been more important. With mindfulness we examine our minds, conditioning, and bias so that we may act with skill.
Sign up for the Zoom link and with a click at the appointed time, you can join from any quiet place, greet your fellow practitioners, and settle in for a guided "sit." Whether or not you were able to sign on in a given week, you'll receive a recording of the week's meditation.
This offering is supported through voluntary donations via PayPal or Venmo. Suggested: $20-40/month.
NOTE! SUMMER 2020, SARAH JANE PLEDGED HALF OF ALL DONATIONS TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT KNOW HOW BEST TO USE OUR RESOURCES:
Minnesota Freedom Fund (June)
Families for Justice as Healing (July)
You Good Sis? (August)

What to Expect
Sign on with or without your web camera on. I give everyone the option to check in by sharing their name, location, and what feels present in the body-heart-mind. Then I explain the method of meditation for the day, guide a 20-minute meditation, and invite questions and comments before a check-out.
Whether you are sleepy, anxious, settled, challenged...I encourage you to show up. Whatever our condition, when we bring mindfulness to it, we expand our tolerance for a broader bandwidth of experience...and better connect to what it is to be human.
Indeed, practice results in deeper self-knowledge, a greater sense of connection to others, enhanced ability to self-regulate, and less mental suffering.
