RAIN Practice Group
For Self-Growth and Interconnectedness
New Monthly Group Forming Spring 2024!
The RAIN self-compassion meditation can transform states such as confusion or frustration into kindness, and over time help us let go of harmful beliefs, thinking patterns, and behaviors.
Although we share out loud a bit in this group practice, including naming emotions we've been feeling, this is not group therapy...and yet it can produce healing insights, enhance self-trust, and antidote loneliness.
This practice is suitable for people interested in meditation, self-investigation, or inner critic work. Due to the sometimes sensitive nature of the psychological material the RAIN practice can evoke, once established, the group will open to new members only occasionally, and regular attendance will be encouraged among existing members, so that the group does not vastly change month to month.
Live Online Wednesdays 8:15-8:45am Eastern Time, U.S.
Join for a round of breathwork, a 12-minute mindfulness meditation, and a bit of mindful movement to wake up the mind and body before an optional round-robin check-in.
This weekly meditation practice group is designed to make it easier for beginners to learn to meditate and for experienced people to maintain a regular practice in community.
Whether you are sleepy, anxious, settled, challenged...show up! Together we expand our tolerance for a broader bandwidth of the human experience, and grow in wisdom and compassion.
This practice is suitable for beginners, as well as longer-time practitioners.
These classes open and close with meditation, and in-between Sarah Jane teaches yin yoga as a method of embodied mindfulness, offering several postural variations and encouraging students to trust their own way of practicing.
Each hour-long session is an opportunity to start where you are and nourish the body, open the heart, and train the mind.
Class themes include the importance of rest, accepting change, training in compassion, capacitating ourselves to meet life's challenges, and more.
This practice is suitable for people with some experience with yoga and/or meditation.
